Automatic large scale detection of red palm weevil infestation using street view images

چکیده

The spread of the Red Palm Weevil has dramatically affected date growers, homeowners and governments, forcing them to deal with a constant threat their palm trees. Early detection tree infestation been proven be critical in order allow treatment that may save trees from irreversible damage, is most commonly performed by local physical access for individual monitoring. Here, we present novel method surveillance infested utilizing state-of-the-art deep learning algorithms, aerial street-level imagery data. To detect analyzed over 100,000 street-images, mapping location urban areas. Using this procedure, discovered verified at various locations.
